Assemblyman Adams has worked tirelessly to reform state government. During his first 3 years in the legislature he has successfully passed legislation that eliminates waste and streamlines government. He has helped trim the state budget by $20 billion while preserving funds for vital programs like education and public safety. The California State Firefighters Association and the San Bernardino County Board of Education have both named Assemblyman Adams as Legislator of the Year for his tireless efforts on behalf of our teachers and firefighters.

While Assemblyman Adams has been instrumental in reforming state government he is most proud of his work to help our state's foster youth and domestic violence victims. Adams has been a strong voice for foster youth throughout the state. Due to his work on their behalf the now state receives additional Federal Funds for local foster care agencies and it's easier for them to earn high school diplomas that will open doors of opportunity for them. Earlier this year when the Governor cut funding for domestic violence shelters Assemblyman Adams fought to restore funding that kept several local shelters open.

Some of his other major accomplishments include outlawing a dangerous new drug that was increasingly finding its ways into our high schools and leading the charge to remove dangerous sex offenders from Child Daycare centers while reforming the system to make sure it never happens again.

Receiving his Bachelor's degree in Political Science from California State University, San Bernardino and his Law Degree from Western State University College of Law in Fullerton, Assemblyman Adams and his wife of seventeen years, Deanna, have resided in Hesperia since 1996.
