  2. The Carvel Chair is made using the techniques of traditional boat construction which predominate along the west coast of Ireland.
    A collaboration with a shipwright, it is made with wind-felled larch, hand shaped and fixed with copper roves.
    This technique produces a shell which is incredibly light and strong that flexes to the user. It is supported by a cradle of bent steel bar.
    This film was filmed on location in Galway and Dublin Ireland, tracking the sourcing of timber, design and construction of the Carvel Chair.
