I've been looking at the face already for years, but there newer was a good window for ski descent. This time everything looked good!
We expected a pretty warm day, so the plan was to ski down no later than 9am. By then the face should get couple hours of sun that would make it nice and easy to ski.
So up we went the evening before. At around 2500 meters we found great biwak place with good views to our route.
but, but.. We started early, but before sun hit the face it was was covered by clouds.. It stayed cloudy until 8 and the face newer really softened. Due to warm temperatures we couldn't wait longer for face soften. That would have made the lower part too risky for ice and rock fall.
Anyway I was able to ski the face from below the rocks about 100-150 meters from the top. From Louettes Ridge we had really good spring snow. Great run with special ambiance!
