    2. ~~~~~~ DESCRIPTION: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~|

    * This video demonstrates National Model RR Assoc. (NMRA) RP 9.2.4. This RP requires a DCC locomotive running on normal DCC track power, upon encountering (reverse) polarity DC - to slow to a stop with normal CV4 deceleration. When DCC is restored, it should accelerate with normal CV3 acceleration.

    * The test layout uses a DCC-Bitswitch (DccBitswitch.com) "DC Brake Signal Generator" to suddenly change the track current from DCC to DC, demonstrated with several different locomotives in 3 different scales.

  4. This three-part 2009 YouTube video featuring DCC-BitSwitch designer and owner Fred Hughes, gives an overview of both DCC-BitSwitch and DCC systems in general. Fred talks about the 3 ways to automatically brake (stop) a DCC train: 1) analog DC, 2) set speed zero command, and 3) asymmetric DCC. Fred also discusses his experiences and reasons for preferring North Coast Engineering (NCE) DCC systems and some advantages of Lenz decoders.
