Jennie is a total noob who has no background or real interest in scifi . This will be her first exposure to Babylon 5 – she’d never even heard of it before. We wanted her for the project because we wanted to also show how powerful the series can be for even non-scifi people and how the themes, ideas, and philosophies are so very Universal and accessible.
Jennie can bring a great new and fresh perspective as a therapist and we also think that her Korean cultural background will play an interesting role in how she sees and interprets the show.
She’s the kind of person we love to introduce to things like Babylon 5 or anime because we really believe there is so much to be learned and gained by everyone if they just open their minds to it instead of thinking “Oh those are just shows for geeks ” or “I really don’t like science fiction stuff”.

Jennie Song, the B5 n00b, shares her "after the show" thoughts on her experience with Babylon 5 so far. The last episode, Born To The Purple, proved to be one of the most challenging moments in Jennie's media experience and the entire process of working on the B5 Revisited project has really changed her in ways she never expected. In this video Jennie very candidly talks about her process, seeing herself on camera for the first time, Elaine Barlow's media therapy, her own cultural identity and how that relates to Londo, her struggles with writing, and her unique perspective as a therapist on character development, relationships, and how that effects her absorption of the material.
