In preparation for the Coors Light Open House Festival in Belfast 2011, we're showcasing some of the local talent that will play there, as well as some of the music that influences them, by asking each artist to perform one of their own tracks, and a cover from an artist featured in this year's programme.

First up, John Deery of John Deery & The Heads, covering the Villagers' track "That Day"

It's dawn, three surfers are ready to get into water. From the water emerges a sea goddess..

Aureole is rocking the Musser Mallet percussion with the vibraphone heavy “Core.”

And it doesn’t take special glasses to realize that this is amazing. The bells and keyboard work parallel with each other and lead singer Daichi Mori’s softer vocals try to calm you during this jittery single. All the instruments culminate to a massive core-shaking experience. The video’s glitch-tastic world matches this feeling. Awesome work.
