Another visual poetry project using footage from our recent Bali trip. This time it's just me and husband :D
Glenn wrote the poem, the words matching the shots he took when he walked around Seminyak area by himself. When he gave the poem to me, I just editted/ added/ deleted a few words and sentences (oh boy and not without a fight too!!! :p). I really just wanted to make the whole thing rhythmical because I had a plan in my head that I wanted to do something different this time - which was the voice-over thing :)
When I did the music, I had an idea -- I wanted to give some sort of 'electronica' feel to it and speak into the music sort of thing... and I wanted a videoclip look as well, hence did the cut frames and tried to use as much footage of that trip as possible.
Anyway, here's what we came up with. I hope you like it :D
Another poetry/visual/music project. Moments was written by my friend - Julie St. Thomas. The clips were from our recent Bali trip, as usual, Glenn went beserk with his camera :) I must confess - I love all the monkey shots the best (pity I couldn't use them all here :)).
Again, my job was just to put everything together in Vegas and did the music in Acid.
Just me doing a new song cos, heck, that's what I do when I'm not doing anything else, like cooking in the kitchen...home made thangs. Well, when it comes to home cooking, I spose that could be what this video is all about, home made using nothing more than a web cam and video editing software, in this case, Cyberlink's Power Director, simple, straightforward but quite effective I'd say. Okay, it's not really live...lip synced. That was the tough part. Other than that, nothing to it. So...voila...homemade music video, instant, on the spur of the moment, just after the actual recording session.
Goal for the next one? To do it live, no lip syncing. Heck, maybe no lips at all!!
