I took a bunch of still frames supplied by client and separated them into slices based upon luminance, the slices were then distributed in z space to allow a camera to move around them in 3d space.
This created some dynamic 3d visuals from what was supplied as flat artwork.
It was all created using expressions in After Effects with no 3rd party plugins
