In Morihei Ueshiba’s Iwama period he studied the Daitoryu, the Shinkageryu, which is the essence of Japanese Budo, the Kashimashintoryu and others, giving them a new interpretation. The weapon and techniques and fighting skills he taught his disciples were later collected and conveyed into the ‘Iwama style’ by Morihiro Saito.
