A traditional perspective to develop ones personality and to figure out why you are on this planet: As already (Western) ancient philosophers told us, it is the body and what you decide to develop it for which is constitutive for what life you will live. There were two concurrent schools, so to say: Athen and Sparta. Athen sponsored the Olympic Games while Sparta refused to participate. What you learn to win a competition is not relevant on the battlefield. This could have been said by a samurai in later centuries. In the Western culture this knowledge became a side stream when in Japan it was the main stream. The knowledge about how to learn and develop your personality by means of your body is now coming back to us Westerners by the Eastern so-called martial arts and health systems like Yoga. In our Center for Movement & Hedonism we try to offer interrelated but different ways based upon these traditions and ancient knowledge.
