The Captured Life Series

  1. This is edited together from footage I shot at the 2010 ST Informal in Jackson, Mississippi. All of it was shot with my Canon EOS Rebel T2i at 1080p and 24 frames per second. I used a Canon 50mm lens with a f1.4, using only the manual focus. No tripod was used; all of this was shot sporadically and handheld. No color grading was applied to this footage. It was all straight out of the camera. I wanted to test and show what the camera was capable of in low lighting and with a great lens.

Thanks to everyone who let me photograph them.

  2. This short film is edited together from footage I shot at Mississippi's Southern Fried Comic Con on June 26th at Cabot Lodge - Millsaps in Jackson, Mississippi. It was all shot with my Canon EOS Rebel T2i at 1080p and 24 frames per second. I used a Canon 50mm lens with a f1.4, using only manual focus. I kept the ISO setting between 400 and 1600, depending on the environment's natural lighting. No tripod was used; all of this was shot sporadically and handheld. Little to no color grading was applied to this footage. The majority of it is straight out of the camera.

This is the second in a series of camera tests where I demonstrate what this camera is capable of with a great lens and in a setting of low lighting. It was much harder to work the focus in this setting as opposed to the setting of The Informal but I am still very happy with the final film. I love watching people interact in settings like this and I hope that I get to continue making films in this series.

Thanks to everyone who let me photograph them.

  3. This short film is edited together from footage I shot at Universal Studios Florida on July 13th-16th. A majority of the footage was shot at the brand new Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Islands of Adventure. On the 16th, I was also lucky enough to attend the Infinitus 2010 Convention at the Royal Pacific Hotel. A lot of footage was shot here as well.

The film was all shot with my Canon EOS Rebel T2i at 1080p and 24 frames per second.

This is the third in a series of camera tests where I demonstrate what this camera is capable of with a great lens and in a setting of low lighting. The other entries in this series are "The Informal" and "The Comic Con."

This film was made for personal interest. No profit is to be gained from it.
