1. This the first but not final edit of Pinky Beecroft & The White Russian's new music video, "Rock Boots". You might know Pinky as the lead singer of Machine Gun Fellatio and he also wrote the award winning song for The Whitlams, "No Aphrodisiac".

It was launched at the Bendigo Hotel in Collingwood and also shown a couple times at the final Roller Derby match with the Victorian Roller Derby League vs Seattle's Rat City Rollergirls on Saturday 19 November 2011 at Melbourne Showgrounds.

It has been my biggest music video project so far, with the band, two roller derby teams, makeup girls and a bunch of cheering extras! It could not have been achieved with the the help and assistance from the VRDL (Victorian Roller Derby League). It was so great to have some of the lovely Roller Derby stars involved in this clip including B-Banger, Swish Cariboom, Acheron Styx and Boom Crash Oprah.

The video footage was all shot in one day at Puckhandlers in Reservoir with my assistant Paul Griggs helping out with alternative camera angles. The equipment used were a Canon 5D Mk II and a 7D with a variety of lens from 10mm fisheye to 200mm telephoto. All of the video editing was performed by myself with the help of Pinky on my iMac using Final Cut Studio.

Also here are a couple behind the scenes photographs of the video shoot captured by Paul Griggs and Laura Nerina Andrau:

I know what you're probably saying? If this guy photographs over 200 gigs every year, how in hell does he find the time to also produce official music videos for bands.

My philosophy is this. Everybody thinks that making an official music video for a band takes FIVE GRAND or more. That's is simply not true anymore. With today's high tech digital SLR cameras, you can capture a pristine 1080p Blu-ray quality HD Video! There is just no reason why you can't make an exciting music video for an affordable three figure sum!

I like to get involved with the band. Fully storyboard the clip. Work out the shots and frame the scenes. Go in, hire some fancy lights and do the shoot in one day. Then edit the music video with Final Cut Studio (the flagship version of the Final Cut Pro series) and also get the band involved in the final cut. I am definitely not musician but I am a good visual creator! So what might look good in the clip, could be the band playing a wrong part of the music, so I need that interaction and feedback from the musicians.

In 2011, I created FIVE official music videos. My first project was with the power pop band, The Wellingtons. There are two music videos with the Bitter Sweet Kicks. An exciting visual delight with those hard rockers The Mercy Kills. Finally a big production with Pinky Beecroft of Machine Gun Fellatio fame with an all star array of hot Roller Derby skaters.

If you are in a band and you want me to create an exciting music video, let me get my team together and make one for you.

I am only an e-mail or phone call away.

Thank you for listening.
