1. Cyan Clayworks, is a ceramic studio offering access to facilities, courses and individual tuition, based in Edinburgh.

    The company provides a creative hub for ceramics. Equipment that can be hired includes wheels, kilns, workbenches, glazing equipment, hand tools and a plaster lathe. In-house facilities allow them to provide handbuilding, slipcasting, throwing, kiln firing, casting, mouldmaking and glazing. They offer project support for students, and professional artists/designers as well as running a variety of classes and workshops.

  2. Northshore Pottery is a ceramics studio working with throwing, glazing and sculpture, in Caithness the Highlands.

    Jennie Mackenzie Ross is the studio owner and runner she studied Fine Arts and worked with ceramics in a number of potteries and potters' studios before setting up Northshore Pottery in 1993. Jennie has all the facilities necessary for start to finish ceramic production and is very open to involvement from others. External practitioners can come in and use the kiln or learn from Jennie herself.

  3. Kevin Morris is an independent ceramic designer manufacturing bespoke and custom pieces, based in Glasgow.

    Kevin provides a range of mould making and casting services as well as specific ceramic fabrication, and his specific skills are in mould making, casting, throwing, clay hand building, press moulding, modelling, slipcasting, glazing, kiln building, kiln operation and kiln maintenance. He regularly works with other artists, designers and members of the public on collaborations to create moulds, castings and ceramics pieces of work.

Established in 1974, they have a long history of manufacturing high quality practical stoneware and developing technical skill in the area. Processes used include extrusion, jigger and jolly, throwing and hand painting. Commissions and bespoke projects can be developed with the company.

  5. Juila Smith Ceramics is a x, based in Ardersier, Highlands.

    Julia Smith Ceramics create studio pottery and exhibition pieces, using techniques such as throwing, handbuilding, decals and screenprinting with clay. Equipment includes; ceramic hand building tools, slab roller and a clay extruder. Mainly working on private commissions for tableware, wedding gifts, architectural ceramics and collaborative projects. Productions scale is for individual items to multiples of tens or more.
