Marder III Sd.Kfz139

Featured in Fine Scale Modeler Reader Gallery October 2009:

Modeling a Marder III he saw at the Aberdeen Proving Ground, Kristopher scratchbuilt a 1/35 scale World War II German Marder III using cardboard from a cereal box. The track is mesh and mechanical-pencil lead, with "hand-cut wedges for rows of hundreds of little teeth," he says. - Mark Hembree/FSM

Finished the project exactly one day before my 25th birthday.

I prefer the ghostly white paint scheme as the tank looks in the present day as opposed to a historically accurate camouflage pattern. This is THE tank I saw in real life, so naturally I wanted to make one just like it.

1280x720 HD slideshow was made with Adobe Photoshop and Final Cut Express

Series of detailed WWII tank models that are built from a cereal box. Each slideshow is presented in 1280x720 HD and runs in sequential build sequence from start to finish. Sometimes the creative process is crucial to appreciating the final result, which is why these fast-paced slideshows are the ideal presentation format for my work.
