"Selfie" is a framed iPad with the front-facing camera switched on, enabling gallery visitors to use it to capture a selfie. Once an image was take, participants were then unable to view or edit their image. It now belonged to the artist.
I was interested to see if people would understand how to participate with the piece (there were no instructions) and whether they'd be willing.
I am interested in the idea of self curation on social networking, and the ideas behind digital rights and ownership of your image.
