This documentary follows Buffy in her life today. Director Joan Prowse had unprecedented access and takes viewers on a journey to concert halls, Native reserves, and Buffy’s home in Hawaii, aptly mixing current footage and archival material including a 1964 concert appearance at the Newport Folk Festival, a compelling early TV interview with Pete Seeger, and the induction of Universal Soldier into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2005.

CineFocus Canada began when its four founding members, Carl Bessai, John Bessai, David MacDonald and Joan Prowse, fresh out of school, came together over their passionate belief in the future of Canada.

The video was shown coast-to-coast and was such a success the team was asked about the next film project. The rest is history....
On February 25th, 2009 the Central Ontario Building Trades launched their Hammer Heads initiative with screenings of a CineFocus Canada produced video at a fundraising dinner and between periods at a Toronto Marlies hockey game.
Hammer Heads is a partnership between the City of Toronto and various construction trade unions to give youth from priority neighborhoods an introduction to the construction trade apprentice program and future union membership.
