1. This is my first foray into animation. I would love to receive feedback on ways I can improve. "Contemplation Through Centering Prayer" was created as a part of a course requirement for "Ministry Through Modern Media" taken at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX. It will also be used by Crosspoint Fellowship, a Baptist church in Abilene. The inspiration for this piece has long been developing within my consciousness. Rev. Erin James-Brown first introduced me to Centering Prayer, a form of Contemplative Prayer. Dr. Kelly Pigott of Hardin-Simmons University and the Logsdon School of Theology peaked my interest even further by introducing me to the writings of Thomas Keeting, St. John of the Cross, and the unknown writer of "The Cloud of Unknowing." The "Advent Conspiracy" videos were a great source of ideas for attempting this style of piece. Dr. Ronnie Prevost, professor at Logsdon Seminary, assigned a "devotional video" as a part of the course requirement for "Ministry Through Modern Media," giving me the perfect excuse to put into action years of mental and spiritual prodding. For a more detailed explanation of Contemplation through Centering Prayer, check out Thomas Keeting's "Open Mind Open Heart."

  2. Commissioned by Hardin-Simmons University's Logsdon School of Theology to create a video that could be used during university preview weekends to give prospective students an idea of what Logsdon is like from the student's perspective. The university wanted to add their own titles so the first and the last few seconds of the video are blank.

As a minister on staff at a local congreatation, much of what I do invovles coming up with creative ways to meet the needs of our members & communicate our mission & message to the surrounding community. I was provided similar opportunities by Logsdon to help promote the seminary to prospective ministers & assist their undergraduate program with recruiting.
