The convergence of broadband access, user generated content, and social-networks has led to an explosion of ways to consume content. When a consumer shares that content with a friend, the value of that communication is doubled.

Consumers have effectively moved from an information age to a recommendation age.
Consumers are in complete control of their media consumption. Smart marketers have moved from push technologies to pull technologies.
