Our hikes and backpacks this late spring and summer (2016) were relatively short, but always rewarding. This is a compilation of some the stunning scenery we witnessed along the way.
I think of it as, "How I spent our 'summer'." In retrospect, it's interesting that most it was at Mount Rainier NP, something we've never done in the past because it's just too crowded. In spite of that, we still managed to find some solitude.
Anyhow, I titled it "Transitions" for two obvious reasons. First off, for the transitions I used in editing. And, secondly, for the transitions through the various eco-zones we traveled ... from lowland old-growth forests with their wild rivers to sub-alpine meadows with their wildflowers, bears and tarns. Enjoy.
