Filmed on December 26, an hour or so drive north of Seattle in the Skagit Valley. We went to hopefully witness the annual snow geese and trumpeter swan migration. We started by driving along a few farm roads to check them out ...but there was nothing to be seen, no action. Then we headed to our tried and true viewing spot, and voila ... it happened! For about a half hour thousands of birds just kept coming and coming from the south flying directly over us. Wave after wave they landed at the far edge of the field in front of us...settling down gracefully. Then, after a short while, all at once they took off...at times directly over us again! What fun, and what a scramble to change out lenses and deal with all the noise and excitement. I used our new 100-300mm tele and a super wide 7-14mm. The footage was shot in 4K.
