1. To no surprise, the NUMBER 1 Super Bowl memory is our Tampa Bay Buccaneers winning Super Bowl XXXVII. Too many moments to capture and post, but here are a few!

  2. This Super Bowl memory culminated another week long coverage by the amazing Newschannel 8 team in New Orleans. MVP Joe Montana wins his fourth and final Super Bowl with the 1989 49'ers team named one of the best ever! Working with Dick Crippen and Chris Thomas, we brought a unique perspective to this game, but some of my most favorite memories include Steve Overton throwing a football with crew members off the balcony of our live location on Bourbon Street and Dan Bradley (and crew) talking our way into the legendary Tipitina's for free! Again was able to barter for a field photo sideline pass to record this incredible moment in Super Bowl history!

  3. This was Tampa Bay's third Super Bowl and a big one for our news team at WFLA-Newschannel 8. Working with Bob Hansen, Chris Thomas, JP Peterson,Jeff Patterson and the entire Channel 8 news team this one was memorable. One of the best halftime shows ever with NSYNC and Aerosmith!

  4. Dick Crippen, Eric Hausmann and I covered Super Bowl XX for Channel 8 thirty years ago, January 1986. This was my first BIG Super Bowl coverage as we were live in New Orleans all week, covering the sights and sounds of this memorable Super Bowl. Some of my best memories were finding Jim McMahon at a Bourbon Street establishment and him giving me the finger when I photographed him through the window, trading use of my back-up 3/4 field deck to a Providence station for one of their field photo sideline pass the night before Super Bowl, and then walking off the field with Walter Payton after the Bears won. Hope you enjoy!

  5. Over my thirty year television career, I have had the opportunity to cover a lucky 13 of the 50 Super Bowls.
This is part one of a series of my most favorite Super Bowl memories. This excerpt is part of the WFLA-TV award winning television program that chronicled the history of the old Tampa Stadium. Legendary sports icons, Dick Crippen and Tom McEwen reminisce about Tampa Bay's first two Super Bowls, the XVIII and Silver Anniversary games. Super Bowl XVII was my second Super Bowl game and the excitiment around Tampa Bay for that event was amazing. I was on the sidelines for Super Bowl XXV and have never heard a reaction for the national anthem like that ever again!
