  2. The social impact documentary raises crucial awareness about the plight of 50.000 quranic students, Talibes (young boys between 4-15 years old) who are forced to beg by their teachers and suffer exploitation in conditions akin to slavery.

    In collaboration with local non-profit La Maison de la Gare, the documentary is made available for organisations and advocacy groups working to end the abuse of Talibes children.

  3. L'importante tradition de l’éducation islamique au Sénégal s’est développée de manière perverse. Cinquante mille élèves de l’école coranique (talibes), des jeunes garçons âgés entre 4 et 15 ans, sont exploités dans des conditions qui ressemblent à de l’esclavage. Les enseignants de l’école coranique les obligent à mendier dans la rue. Ils souffrent d’abus physiques graves et de négligences. Suivant l’équipe de l’ONG locale populaire, « La maison de la gare », dans ses efforts quotidiens pour trouver des solutions aux conditions de vie terribles des garçons, le documentaire présente de manière poétique la nature et les circonstances de la souffrance de ces enfants.
