1. The documentary piece that accompanies the Dance This 2007 DVD. It can be found as the first menu selection followed by selecting individual dance pieces and viewing the entire performance.

The documentary follows the process of the dancers and choreographers.

Starting with the Dance This intensive which gives an opportunity for young dancers, ages 13-22, at all levels to immerse themselves in dance over the course of 10 days. Students are exposed to a wide range of dance styles and techniques in a supportive yet challenging atmosphere. Instruction included ballet, modern, jazz, African, Afro-Latin, Hip Hop and special workshops in nutrition/wellness, careers/college, choreography, partnering and musical theatre.

Then the documentary talks about the process and experiences of the Dance This performance. A performance that brings together young dancers and
professional guest artists in a performance that celebrates
collaboration and diversity of dance--both traditionally rooted and contemporary in form. Participants rehearse in the spring and intensely during the week of the performance, taking part in cross cultural workshops, a collaborative finale, technical rehearsals and a youth matinee and public performances.

The Dance This project brings together teen performers from diverse communities and backgrounds for collaboration and to share their culture through the art of dance.

In 2008, Seattle Theatre Group will be celebrating its 10th anniversary and will gather the past years performances and dancers to showcase the last 10 years of the program.

  4. In a disposable culture of programmed obsolescence, the owners of the Shack Up Inn set out to salvage some junk and end up preserving Delta history.

Old trophies, boy scout badges and photographs are among the relics scattered throughout the rooms and grounds, off Highway 49 in Hopson, Mississippi.

People journey to the inn from all over the world to troll through things most would discard. Some are there to reconnect with their culture, while others come from afar in search of something authentic.
