    Welcome back Dorks,
In today's Pocket Review I'll be looking at Captain America #49 from Marvel Comics.

With writing duties handled by Ed Brubaker and art drawn by Luke Ross, Captain America is now a more gritty and dynamic character than he has ever been before. Issue #49 also sets the stage for what promises to be a big 50th issue of Captain America.

    Rating 80% (8 G’s on the Anti-Gravity Scale)

A few closing thoughts on Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk #4:

    * Art - Absolutley top notch, Leinil Francis Yu makes loose lines so very tight. Colours are well suited to the feel of the book. The captioning and lettering help immerse the reader rather than being a distraction from the action.
    * Story - This is the fourth issue of Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk, a series that started back in 2006. If you’re new to the series, Marvel provides a one page recap of the events thus far, but if you haven’t read the previous three issues you’re truly missing out on some fun stuff.

    Overall score 91% (9 G’s on the Anti-Gravity Scale)

Greetings Dork Shelfers, Jeff here with another Pocket Review.

Today I’ll be talking a bit about the first issue of DC Comics The Flash: Rebirth.

The Flash: Rebirth is being produced by the same team that did 2005’s Green Lantern: Rebirth. As with all the Rebirth titles, Geoff Johns and Ethan Van Sciver are trying to take the DC heroes back to basics by cleaning up some of the continuity. Rebirth for The Flash means bringing back Barry Allen; the silver-age version of the superhero. Solid first issue and I’ll be reviewing all the susequent issues as they’re released.

    Rating 93% (9.3 G’s on the Anti-Gravity Scale)

  5. http://dorkshelf.com/2009/04/07/marvel-ultimate-alliance-2-characters-revealed/

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 ,the sequel to Activision’s 2006 hit game Marvel Ultimate Alliance is due out this Fall. The game follows the recent Civil War storyline that rocked the main Marvel universe. The U.S. government enacts a superhuman registration act after an incident caused by a third-rate Superhero team results in the death of hundreds of innocent people. The heroes of the Marvel universe become divided over the superhuman registration act, with those against it being led by Captain America and those that are for it led by Tony Stark/Iron Man. Civil War changed everything in the 616 universe and is an amazing starting point for the game.

The Civil War storyline certainly has a lot of potential, and the new gameplay mechanic of combining the superpowers of multiple heroes looks promising. I thought the first Ultimate Alliance was a blast to play, all of the recent gameplay videos and trailers seem to indicate that Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 will be just as fun.
