7th G12 National Conference—The G12 Philippines congregation numbering more than 58,000 came with expectant hearts at the World Trade Center on October 29 to 30, 2013, to receive God’s Breath of Life that will transform this nation for His glory. Indeed, the Lord is moving as He said on Ezekiel 37:10, breathing into life a vast army that will rise up to win and conquer this nation for His glory.
The participants were divided into two batches: the first batch at 8 AM to 2 PM and the second batch at 4 PM to 10 PM. On the first day, the event began with marking the purpose for the gathering: for nation transformation and for the glory of God’s name. The Mapua Cardinal singers led the singing of the national anthem and nationalistic songs; a joyful praise and worship soon followed in honor of the Lord of the nations.
International pastors came to speak about the moving of the Holy Spirit amidst His church in the Philippines. Pastor Rich Witmer emphasized the importance of training, saying, "We have mountain tops. We have valleys--the grind. But no one ever fall from the valley. God is there in the middle of your trial." Pastor Art Sepulveda spoke about each life as a story that not everyone really wanted. He exhorted to the people, "God will rewrite your story and heal your battle scars." Bishop Flynn Johnson also imparted to the delegates the spirit of proceeding in the race of faith, preparing, producing fruit, and persisting. Pastor Bert Pretorius ministered to the people, telling them, "You are a leader. That is your calling. The heart of God is for you to be fruitful."
The second day of the national G12 conference showed a downpour of the Holy Spirit as the congregation, led by G12 founder Pastor Cesar Castellanos, sought for and welcomed the Holy Spirit in their midst. During the AM session of the second day, Pastor Cesar and his wife Pastor Claudia led the congregation to consecration by surrendering their sins before the Lord. They then shared with the congregation a spirit of celebration of God’s love and wondrous moving. Pastor Jorge Catano shared about six keys to successful in the G12 vision and Bishop Oriel M. Ballano reported the progress of the G12 vision among G12 churches in the Philippines and inspired the people to work for God’s greater and global glory. Pastor Nina Khong spoke about the power of God’s breath of life and stated, "The breath of God is here to fill us and invigorate us, to give us power to share God's Good News with our friends."
In the afternoon of the second day, Pastor Rich shared about the difference between being loved by God and being liked by Him and called His friend. He challenged, "We are friends of God if we do what He tells us to do. If we want to be His friends, we must obey." Soon after Pastor Cesar led the congregation to welcome the presence of the Holy Spirit. He also talked about the power of dreams and challenging the delegates to surrender everything to God, saying, "Just one drop of the blood of Jesus can break whatever impurity and wash away any darkness that you have."
Pastor Claudia Castellanos grabbed the opportunity to minister to the young generation by holding an interview with two couples forming the Soulfire Revolution—Lorena and Julian, and Paula and Anthony. The two couples testified about how they committed their hearts to God and how God prepared them individually and led them to the right person. Lorena Castellanos emphasized, "For all the single people, God has the best for you. He will show you the right one and He NEVER makes mistakes." Pastor Cesar then ministered to every person who had been hurt in wrong relationships in the past and facilitated healing from the Lord. Julian and Anthony closed the session by praying for the youth of the Philippines.
Pastor Art Sepulveda spoke at the end of the conference challenging the people to become radical disciples of Christ. He stressed, "You can be the only one. So what if you're the only one? If you receive the calling, you are the right one!"
The congregation gladly witnessed the rebirth of 10,000 souls who came for the first time and accepted Christ as Lord and Savior. The conference also included worship celebrations headed by Soulfire Revolution and exhortations from Tifiny and Chris Johnson, and Pearson Pretorius.
The two-day conference ended with songs of triumph as refreshed and recharged spirits declare the victory that they have long received at the cross. Bringing with them the revelations, the healing and the freedom, they are set to change and revolutionize their churches, families, campuses, and offices with an even radical faith in Christ. The next challenge they are ready to beat is to bring an even greater number of souls for Christ—this time, to fill an even greater conference venue before the eyes of the nations for the greater global glory of God.
