The talk will describe the reason for, and the types of, arrangements of electrodes on the head for scalp EEG (‘montage’), with particular reference to pediatric patients. The value of different types of montages will be discussed, along with the principles of localizing brain activity by analysis of the EEG in different montages. Common examples will be provided.
