an information visualization application, the Global Terrorism Database Visualization (GTDV) addressing the issue of terrorism. GTDV applies techniques and processes of information visualisation emphasising the aesthetics besides the functionality, to display data from terrorist events between 1970 and 2004 compiled from the Global Terrorism Database from the University of Maryland, USA. We describe the Global Terrorism Database Visualization interface, crítically analyzing it and specifying the structural and visualization techniques used. GTDV aims to contribute to the emergence of a thorough knowledge about the phenomenon of terrorism.

  2. Among is a sonic and luminous environment composed of articulated tubular lights, their pulsation and movement is conditioned by a computer vision system that observes living ants in an antquarium. Subsequently the tubes´ positions and luminous intensities drive a sonification for this environment. The resulting sound, light and movement sequences are amplified interpretations of the ant colony´s activity. Among allows you to wander around among those sequences, offering you a space to experience this amplification.

"Logos" is the word used by a pre-Socratic Greek philosopher named Heraclitus, defining the principle which gives the cosmic order and rationality to the world. For Heraclitus, the universe is in constant flux, constantly changing, making the reality a merely succession of temporary states.
In a physical approach, "Logos" is represented by a light sculpture that will react to different elements of the space. In a minimal space and filled with uncertainty, the elements interact with each other, seeking to understand the scope and extend the constant flow in the viewer's perception, which is understood as a key element of the moment.
