  1. This is a transcription of the famous Sinfonia Concertante for violin, viola & orchestra, an exciting version done in 1808 where solos are passing from one instrument to another, fully justifying the title of Sestetto Concertante.

  4. Renown musician and pedagogue, Carl Reinecke was a first rate conductor and it is under his direction that the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra became a top class orchestra. Composer of more than 600 works, many of them for pedagogical purposes, he also signed some of the finest symphonies, concertos and chamber music works. Reinecke's piano quintet, written in the 1860's, is a remarkable work and holds its place among the best known romantic piano quintets.

  5. Written by Mozart in 1787, the string quintet in G minor K 516 is, among so many other master pieces, one the most beautiful chamber music work he wrote. The third movement starts in a dramatic way but is offering a surprisingly beautiful and elegany center part.
