  4. This 160 CFS dual configuration Farmers Screen was installed on Whychus Creek, a tributary to the Deschutes River, near Sisters, Oregon in 2011 for the Three Sisters Irrigation District. This Farmers Screen project helped to open 15 river miles for safe fish passage for Chinook salmon and summer Steelhead being reintroduced as part of a broader restoration effort on the Creek. The project screens irrigation water for over 8,000 acres of farmland, and also enabled the District to build capacity to generate up to 1.7MW of fish-friendly hydro power in the future.
