"This past weekend 14 ladies from our church went down to Chattanooga, Tennessee for Dare for More Ladies Conference. It was a great time of fellowship with the group and to get refreshed in our walk with the Lord. We talked about how joy doesn’t equal happiness and how Jesus was thankful for the cross because he looked
at the giver and not the gift.

Last years goal was to get into Zambia. God provided the way. The focus this year is to reach ladies who can't read or write, with the Gospel through solar powered mp3 players.

  3. ONE NIGHT RECAP
    02.24.2018
    Pastor Michael Whitaker
Hosted by: FBC Real Life Students

"Last weekend we had the opportunity to host One Night for our 7th-12th grade students. One Night was one night that we set aside to focus on Jesus and bring our friends.

At Real Life Student Ministries we have made it our mission to make it impossible for those in our life not to know Jesus.

A year and a half ago my wife and I started our journey with Real Life with 28 awesome students. It’s been so amazing to see our growth. We are praising God for what He did this past weekend, at One Night.

We had 57 first time guests
    A total of 128 students
And 6 students who decided to begin their journey with Christ as they accepted Jesus into their life. Take a look at some of the highlights.

We are a miracle in motion. We are One Night. We are Real Life.

How many times have you invited an unchurched person to church? Surveys show that almost half of you would answer 0. We make a lot of excuses...we're too busy...it's awkward...it's uncomfortable and you may even question is it even effective.

In the same survey, when asked why an unchurched person came to church the majority answered because someone invited me. It was not the music, the pastor, or even the children’s programs. 9/10 people are more willing to attend church on Easter if invited. A simple invitation from you could change someones life for eternity.

Easter is the perfect day to share with others what Easter is all about, JESUS. And it all starts with you. It starts with a simple question...will you come to church this Easter?

Chances are you’re thinking of someone right now who needs to come to FBC this Easter...a friend...co-worker...relatives...maybe your neighbors...all they need is an invitation from you.

It's easy to share the things we love...a restaurant, favorite song.....church shouldn't be any different. Lets be that church that changes these stats and see God change hearts and lives this Easter.

Now don't worry...we want to equip you. See one of our promotion tables located at the Welcome Center entrance or right outside the lobby.

There are full size, color, movie posters. You can hang these at your place of business, break rooms, coffee shops. But be sure to get permission before posting.

We also have quick invite cards. Take some to put in your pocket, car, or purse. When you’re at dinner personally invite your waiter. At the drive thru...invite the person helping you.

The most effective way to invite and let others know about Easter at Fellowship is through social media. Instagram, Facebook, Google Plus, and Twitter.

We will have photos and updates, profile and cover pictures, verses, videos, and much much more. We need your help though. We need you to show our community that you are excited...the best way to do this is through liking, commenting, and sharing. Simple engagement goes a long way to show our community how excited we are about Jesus and Easter.

Now lets trying something right now...go to our Facebook page. At the top of the page you will find the event for Easter at Fellowship pinned. Hit the share button. Then click share in news feed. Simple and easy right?! You can even go through your friends list and invite each one to the event.

And if you forgot your invite cards, don't worry! Simply tell them about Easter at Fellowship. They need to see your excitement and then direct them to our website fbccolumbus.com for more information.

There are lots of ways to get those invites out to our community. Be creative and have fun doing it. Seize the opportunities you have each day to invite the people around you. Lets flood our community with the name of JESUS.

Baby dedication is a wonderful moment in which parents make a public statement of faith to raise their child under God's grace and wisdom. If you would like to have your child dedicated on this Sunday, March 4th at 11 AM, please register at fbccolumbus.com/events.

Last Sunday, we took you on a journey through the progress thus far in the Greater Things Project. Completing phase 1; BiG CiTY will allow us to relocate our FBC Kids ministry in one building. Our goals were to make major updates and much needed improvements, safety, create a fun learning environment, and DISCIPLESHIP. You had the opportunity to walk through BiG CiTY and see how you could partner with us to finish this department. Many of you stepped out on faith by giving towards supplies we need to open BiG CiTY. Thank you so much for your gift and generosity. If you missed last Sunday, don't worry you can come out in the lobby and see sketches/designs, the BiG CiTY logo, carpet samples, the front of a car, and much much more. If you are not already giving by faith to the Greater Things project, we invite you to start today. Simply take an item off the board, fill out the bottom, and return the bottom portion to us. You may give in the offering during any one of our services. You can also give a one time offering, or even set up recurring gifts. Simply go online to fbccolumbus/GIVE or send a text message to the number 84321 with your amount and the word “greater”. Please give towards your gift by March 11 to allow us time to purchase these items, for the grand opening of BiG CiTY on March 25.

Dr. Billy Graham devoted his life to proclaiming the name of Jesus to hundreds of millions of people. From presidents to the poor, he desired that every heart would experience the hope of Christ. Because of his life, heaven will never be the same. No matter the platform God has given us, He has called us to Rise Up! Church...it's our turn to RISE UP and Lead, Rise Up and GO, and Rise Up and REACH.
