Cameraless Film Art

We found some old pieces of film at RISD. I bleached the film in the bathtub, scratched into it to reveal different colour layers in the celluloid and attached dried petals and lace to the surface. I transferred the image frame-by-frame using a custom made two-bolex system in the film department. This was due to the thickness of the applied elements preventing the film running through the gate and making a contact print or any other method really.
I used recorded and library sound to build the sound track.
