    Ricoh Theta S features extra-high resolution, fully spherical photos and videos in one simple shot, a live preview function and even greater compatibility with social media platforms.

    The Ricoh Theta S captures high-resolution spherical images of up to nearly 14 megapixels. It can also record spherical video in full HD (1920 x 1080*1 pixels at 30fps) with a maximum recording time of 25 minutes. The better quality images are enabled by an enlarged image sensor and fast F2.0 lenses to allow more light through Ricoh's proprietary ultra-small twin-lens folded-optical system.

    Low cost drones have revolutionized the way we think about aerial video, but often the results are easily distinguishable from professional aerial shots. So how do you improve aerial video coming from a low cost drone camera? This was the question I asked myself when I edited my footage from the DJI Inspire 1.

    I spent a week filming with an entry level drone and I spent a lot of time figuring out how to make the best out of the footage I had. Here's the second part of my 3-part video tutorial on mastering drone footage.

    Do not aspire to be like everybody else. I feel so sad when students my students try to emulate their favorite directors. They destroy their own visions before they even start making films. Don't be afraid to fail a little and listen to the ciritcs. Pay only attention to what people say is WRONG. That is what you must cultivate. It is the only thing that makes you different.

    Less Speilberg. More Kelly Reichardt. Less Haneke, more Denis Côté.
    ]
    Less Tarantino, more CARLOS REYGADAS. More Lucretia Martel. Stop emulating crappy interchangable mainstream filmmakers.

    It is like cutting your own throat. Say something new and say it in a different way: YOUR way. Know the great filmmakers. Don't follow the herd. Don't worship the critics.

    Read Robert Bresson's book NOTES ON CINEMATOGRAPHY. You need only this one book to find out all you need to know about great filmmaking.
