Bibliodérive is the application of the Situationist International practice of the dérive or “drift” to the realm of research, libraries and archives. On February 20th, 2015, a Bibliodérive took place in the John M. Flaxman Library of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago under the sponsorship of the Faculty Senate Library Committee and the Dean of Graduate Studies, Rebecca Duclos. In this video, Simon Anderson (Associate Professor, Art History, Theory, and Criticism) talks about the Situationist International, the group that inspired our event. Learn more about the event at biblioderive.tumblr.com.
