Food and Cornwall

  1. We recently supported a Health and Wellbeing Day at Callington Community College, by bringing community chef, Sanjay Kumar, to cook with students. Our aim for the day was to film a short video, shot by a professional media company, showing the process of food moving ‘From Plot to Plate’ within the school environment. Sanjay used produce grown in the school’s allotment to make salad, as well as freshly caught fish from Looe, to make Seafood Kedgeree. The students then all sat down together to enjoy the meal they had cooked. They also presented the local foodbank with some of their allotment produce, a relationship that will continue into the future.
