This year I finally got my TBS Discovery PRO, my first gimball quadcopters. So I started looking for a good excuse to use it. After I found out that friends of ours where participating in a Historical race with there ship "the DIsponibel" I figured it's the perfect subject for my next video.
The course is set out in a circle, across all kind of waterways, from a small canal up to a little lake. You're not allowed to use your engine during the race, even when going straight into the wind. So there are only 3 ways left to move forward. You can: Use your sails, Use large sticks on the bottom of the lake to push yourself forward or put some people on the ground with a long rope and pul you forward. You can see al these in the video.
I had a lot of fun flying and filming. The conditions to fly were all the way from close city proximity above the water to large open water conditions. This race gave me the opportunity to explore the capability's of the Discovery and get more experienced with it's flying characteristics, and I loved every second of it!

enjoy the video of this first adventure with my Discovery PRO

This channel is the place for my edited multirotor clips. When I'm not able to fly I like to use the video footage of my gopro to make some great compilation, and here is my place to share them with you!

Disclaimer:
The complete "drone" scene, as they are known to the wide public is under review because the way they are used by some inexperienced people. These people buy an Ready to Fly machine and fly them without taking notice of the rules that comes with them, or the experience to fly them safely. I'm a Model aircraft pilot who enjoy's making these video's in my spare time as a way to share my flights and adventures with you. This means flying is not my profession and I'm not payed to make these video's. Because I fly as a hobby I'm not allowed to fly close to or over big crowds of people and buildings or accept money for my work. All my flights are done with permission if needed, with use of a spotter and with safety and the rules in mind. If you like to use my work, click the download button and use it to make something great, just as I tried to do. I only ask for a link to my original video in return
