Seminar "Taking Off" gathered in Tartu, Estonia in June 2012 youth workers from 8 European countries, who are concerned with the issue of high unemployment of youth.
During the seminar, participants were consulting with the experts working in different sectors and fields—career consulting, employment offices, experts in human recourse management—in order to share their knowledge and working methods in dealing with young job-seekers in the Member States.
All together they tried to map the needs and challenges that job-seeking young people face and brainstorm on possible innovative solutions of the problems. In a wider perspective, youth workers have set up a network for further cooperation and developing the quality of the support systems for young people, who are desperately seeking for a job or any other involvement today.
The project was organised by Estonian UNESCO Youth Association with the financial support of Youth in Action Programme and Municipality of Tartu.
Partners: Room of Fulfilled Dreams (LV), Cromo Foundation (HU), Associação Hemisférios Solidários (PT), Mladiinfo Slovensko (SK), Mladinski center Zagorje ob Savi (SL), Youth Initiative (LT), and G.A.B. Lupiae del CTS di Lecce (IT).
The international seminar "Global Intercultual Learning" is a follow-up of a previous project "Think globally, act locally!", August 2011 by EV-Razam MTÜ. Seminar was supported by Youth in Action programme and held in Tallinn during October 2012 with the participation of 6 different countries (Estonia, Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Lithuania and Georgia).
