I went down to Rosamond, CA from Boise, ID with some friends for RAD Experience. My buddy, Dan, was taking his miata to get some track time and let Rob R co-drive as he was flying in from Japan. The actual event got canceled, but we were able to still have a test day on Horse Thief Mile and the Oval. JustDrift's Toy Drift 2 was also going on the same weekend so that's where I spent most of my time. Reason being, RAD was on Sunday and we got there Saturday afternoon, also Dan's miata broke down after four laps on HTM. We got there at 7:30AM and not 10 minutes of track time later, the throttle body decided to suck in the head of a nut causing cylinder 3 to misfire. Dan spent most of the day diagnosing the problem and trying to get the nut head out with no luck.
At first I wasn't going to make a video. I didn't think I had enough footage. A couple weeks after I got back, I was looking over my footage while trying to fall asleep and decided that I should.
Looking back, it was a great trip. It seemed like a bunch of letdowns, but I had a good time. The roads weren't too bad other than a few hours of snow. It's almost hard to say it was worth driving 16hrs both ways in four days, but it was. Despite the rain preventing me from getting much footage, Dan's miata breaking down right away, and Rob not being able to make it, it was still a good experience.
