This is a light-hearted parody of Von Wong's Ikan EC-1 video seen here: http://bit.ly/VonWongEC1 That being said, the H2 is my preferred gimbal over the EC-1. Let me know if you have any questions!

  2. The Nostromo is a body worn, or vehicle mounted modular camera support and stabilization system. It interfaces with modern 3 axis gimbals like the Freefly Movi or DJI Ronin for "steadicam" like shots, and can also act as a simple camera support for heavier cameras like the Arri Alexa and Red Helium/ weapon/ epic/ dragon/ scarlet.

I paid $2500, in Dec. of 2013, for the rig only. You will need accessories like an extra battery, a monitor bracket and stand. The similar model now (Dec 25 2014) is going for $1400. If you have a heavier camera like a Red you will need a more powerful rig which cost a lot more.

For my package I paid a little over $3000, see the link. This package is mainly for serious film makers. Or a gadget enthusiast. For shoots with less action or camera movement you can get by with a $1500 package.
