  1. This short demonstration gives a tutorial on how to map in ArcGIS software using a tablet PC with a GPS receiver attached.

    Equipment used: Tablet PC is an HP 2710P, the GPS receiver attaches at the USB port and is made by Rayming, and the software is ESRI's ArcGIS ver. 9.x.

  2. This is a short demonstration on how to join two tables using ESRI's ArcMap software. Using ArcGIS 9.2 I join two tables and symbolize the data.

  3. A documentary produced by Vassar College students in Summer 2008 highlighting how tablet PCs enhance learning in field-based classes at Vassar. The videographers were Brian Paccione '09 and Brittany Kaplan '09; the editor was Brittany Kaplan; the music was by Frances Chang '11; and the artistic director was Meg Stewart, Vassar's Academic Computing Consultant for GIS. This project was made possible by a 2008 Hewlett Packard Philanthropy and Education grant.
