From 1975-80 video artists Pat Ivers and Emily Armstrong spent their nights documenting the punk rock music scene in NYC nightclubs like CBGB’s, Mudd Club and Danceteria and playing the performances on their TV show, Nightclubbing. The massive GoNightclubbing Archive includes performances by the Dead Boys, Iggy Pop, Heartbreakers, John Cale, Cramps, DNA, Lounge Lizards, Bush Tetras, Sun Ra, Go-Go’s, Teenage Jesus and the Jerks, Contortions, and many others
The GoNightclubbing Archive by Pat Ivers and Emily Armstrong is the definitive historic video record of the 1975-80 NYC punk scene. It includes 82 bands in 115 performances, 27 interviews, as well as music videos, video art, photographs and ephemera of the time. The Archive was recently acquired and restored by the Downtown Collection at NYU’s Fales Library. Here's some links with video.
