In this Grasshopper video tutorial, Zach Downey of Parabox uses Grasshopper to locate the points nearest a point object. Rhino curves are referenced into Grasshopper in order to create a lofted surface, which is then evaluated to return a single point location. The surface is then divided evenly along its U and V isocurves, creating a field of points whose respective distances can be measured relative to the evaluated point. Data trees, data matching, sorting by data keys, and sorting objects by list patterns are some of the topics reviewed.
