IDEO is an award-winning global design firm that takes a human-centered, design-based approach to helping organizations in the public and private sectors innovate and grow. IDEO's Active Health practice designs experiences that enable people to achieve physical, mental, and emotional balance. This means maximizing their health when they’re well, diagnosing and treating themselves when they’re sick, and being better patients when they need professional medical attention. In other words, we develop ways to help people move from being passive recipients of health care to active practitioners of self care.

Habit Design® is the largest crowdsourced training community sharing best practices in developing sustainable daily habits that last beyond 100 days. Our goal is to spawn local "habit labs" across the world; over 100,000 members have participated representing 500+ companies, universities, non-profits, and other organizations.

We synthesize applied research across a wide range of habit designers including entrepreneurs, Wellness companies & professionals, non-profits, trainers, coaches, academics, and everyday enthusiasts. Some methods, tools, & frameworks we've covered include Behavior-Change Psychology, Captology (Persuasive Technology), Game Mechanics & Techniques, Behavioral Economics, Sociology, etc.

Colleagues that have shared their research with us include Dr. BJ Fogg, Leo Babauta (Zenhabits.net), New York Times reporter Charles Duhigg (author of "The Power of Habit"), Gretchen Rubin (author "The Happiness Project"), Dr. David Sobel (Kaiser Permanente), Dr. Kelly McGonigal (author, "The Willpower Instinct"), Dr. Peter Gollwitzer (Head, NYU Motivation Lab), and many others.
