  1. Whistler Deep Sky II is the follow up to my original Whistler Deep Sky movie released in 2013. Over the past two years I have continued to explore & shoot the stunning & ever-changing mountains, lakes & night sky around Whistler … this video is the result of an amazing adventure in sleeplessness, 'messing up', broken gear, frozen toes, hundreds of thousands of photos and making the commitment to get my 'lazy butt' off the couch to 'be there' … to then have the good fortune to be able to stand in awe & wonder as the universe unfolds before me.

Whistler - Deep Sky II is dedicated to the adventurous & inspiring people of Whistler, to all the dreamers out there, to the incredible people at Whistler Blackcomb, to Albert, to the 'crazy ones' and, of course, my family - I simply couldn't have done this without you! Now onto my next adventure - hope to meet you out & up there!

    The camera gear: Nikon D3s & Df; 14-24mm f/2.8; 50mm f/1.8; 70-200 f/2.8G ED VR II
The slider: Dynamic Perception Stage Zero with the MX-3 controller

  2. We at Iceland Aurora Films have been busy filming the northern lights this winter, in rather unusual locations. This short film is all shot in the center of Reykjavík, Iceland and was extremely technically complicated to make due to the light pollution. We got really lucky with strong Aurora displays this winter, and some Aurora shapes we´ve never seen before. We spent a total of 30 nights outside filming. Some of the locations have never been filmed from at night, like the final scenes at Hallgrímskirkja cathedral, but we were lucky enough to be up there during the massive solar eruption on the 17th of march 2015! We´ve made a map of all the locations in the film, available here: bit.ly/1IAGRJo - Music: ´Lumina´ by Pétur Jónsson http:anthemico.com

All clips and material is available as stock footage. Please contact icelandaurorafilms@gmail.com for further info.

  4. Fast Forward is made up of several thousand photos taken in New Mexico, Alaska and a few places in between. In it's most basic definition, timelapse photography depicts time sped up. I took it a little further and fast-forwarded most of my footage by additional 200-300%.
I mounted cameras on my car, a boat and even a hot air balloon to record this footage. I also used tripods, motion control units and in one case some rocks and sticks when I forgot everything else! From deserts to oceans, summer to winter, city lights to dark star lit night, there are a lot of opposites in the video. I wanted to create a film that kept you guessing: "what comes next?"

Please watch in HD with good speakers/headphones.

  5. Doubtful Sound is located in Fiordland, in the South West of New Zealand. It is one of the few places where the remote coast of Fiordland has road access, although its not generally accessible for private vehicles and requires an hour boat journey to access the road, which is unsealed over a mountain pass. It is a place of extremes, with a resident human population of 2, a sandfly population of at least 2 million, and an average annual rainfall of 8750mm (344 inches). Aside from the scenery, fishing is a major activity.

Music: 'Cloud Over Hills' , A. Taylor.
