  1. In collaboration with data journalist Simon Rogers, Universal Everything created an immersive data narrative experience exploring the power of big data.

A 15’ x 8’ mirrored room and subtly choreographed pixel spheres echoed the LED animations, creating an endless digital landscape. Designed in code and running in real-time, the experience tells the story of the world around us through the medium of a simple US quarter.

Tied into a major Microsoft product launch, the Infinity Room was installed at 3 Embarcadero Center in the heart of San Francisco's Financial District over three days. Members of the public and conference VIPs were invited to experience a powerful visualisation of the insights that can be gained through Microsoft’s new data analysis tools.

  2. The 12 basic principles of animation were developed by the 'old men' of Walt Disney Studios, amongst them Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston, during the 1930s. Of course they weren't old men at the time, but young men who were at the forefront of exciting discoveries that were contributing to the development of a new art form. These principles came as a result of reflection about their practice and through Disney's desire to use animation to express character and personality.
This movie is my personal take on those principles, applied to simple shapes. Like a cube.

  3. Taking not too serious leaps while tip toeing on the edge about everything and nothing without a point and purpose. I mean it would be nice if we really could grow forever, but what if infinite growth on a finite planet is a fairy tale? Maybe it's hard to see if you already grow at such an exhilarating speed. Nonsense facts mixed with history and a political opinion form an abstract narrative on three independent but interwoven levels. Or simply: the most schizophrenic thing I could come up with.
