1. Produced in 1999, this video won numerous industry awards including the coveted Gold in the Chicago International Film Festival. More importantly; however, this film effectively launched the HP JetSend technology platform as a ground-breaking technology that was first to market prior to the development of Bluetooth. Notably, we articulate the HP JetSend Vision demonstrating its abilities to more "simply" connect individuals with co-workers and family members in a way that demystifies the complexities of contemporary technologies. Showcased in this vision video are the highly innovative and forward-looking printing, scanning, and communication devices that were well before their time in 1999. Ironically, a number of these prototype devices (originally created, designed and modeled by Steve Inch and Jan Matthias) have since come to market in various forms from other manufacturers including Apple, Motorola, and others, thus representing a lost opportunity by HP to capture additional revenues from the manufacture and sale of such devices.

  2. Produced in 1998, this video expresses both the horizontal and vertical industry appeals of HP's Digital Workplace Vision and the interconnectivity of HP's digital scanning, mopier, copier, LaserJet, and InkJet products in addition to featuring innovative products that Steve Inch and Jan Matthias created for the production itself including the handheld scanner and other prototype devices.

  3. We feature the vision of HP's future consumer appliances and their interconnectivity within the framework of a real, down-to-earth American family reunion and the accompanying breadth and reach that HP's future products and technologies can have in positively enhancing the love and lives of an American family across all generations. "Nonna" was the internal project code name given to this initiative.

Hewlett-Packard hired Steve Inch and his team at ES/D to create this award-winning series of vision videos for SMB and Enterprise business sales efforts. Each of these videos features specific products that were innovated, concepted, designed and created by Steve Inch and Jan Matthias (industrial designer and modeler whose work includes innovative product lines for Porsche Design, Siemens, Motorola, BMW DesignWorks, Medisana, Lufthansa, LearJet, and other leading global brands). Steve created and executive produced all videos in this series working closely with MagicHour Films, Inc. of Seattle. Steve created these videos in 1998 and 1999. Clearly, they show the visionary capability of this team to create product concepts that have now, in 2012, come to the market from other technology companies including Apple, Motorola, HP and others -- but in 1998 and 1999, were well before their time and represent an unrealized opportunity for HP. Some products shown are still yet to be produced.
