How do you get kids excited about good nutrition and help them maintain an active lifestyle? Take them on an Adventure To Fitness every week! The Adventure To Fitness Network is a 30 minute classroom activity for grades K-5 that combines physical fitness, healthy lifestyle information, engaging storylines, and lots of fun. These pre-produced curriculum-aligned adventures get kids moving as they start the school day with a lasting burst of energy and motivation. It’s the all-in-one, teacher-friendly elective that meets a multitude of mandated requirements that impact the school day and crowd the classroom.

IDEAS is helping to expand the Adventure To Fitness library from a pair of short duration fundraising adventures to a full season of 30 minute episodes. IDEAS is providing turnkey creative and production services including producing, scripting, shooting, animation, audio/editorial services, duplication, and production management. IDEAS’ instructional designers are also reviewing all content to ensure alignment with Florida State Sunshine Standards for curricula.

The process started with a StoryJam to determine how to migrate the fundraising adventures into 18 episodes, 30 minutes each. The outcome was a group of possible episodes and elements included in each adventure. From there a list was paired down to 18 episodes and scripts were written by the IDEAS team. Once scripts were locked, production and animation blocking took place for appropriate shots. All 18 episodes were shot on the insert stage at the IDEAS studio. The on camera talent was shot on green screen and these video elements were edited in Final Cut Pro. Those video segments were then exported to the animation team using Aftereffects and Maya. The animation team uses illustrations by the IDEAS team, to composite the live footage in the animated environments. Once the video is completed the show goes to the IDEAS audio team for sound design, composing music, and the final audio mix.

The Adventure To Fitness series is a first of its kind program to be streamed into school classrooms. The series immerses children in a fun, entertaining, and highly educational environment that engages them in moderate to vigorous activity. Each Adventure To Fitness episode is available online or over a subscribing school’s in-room closed circuit television. For the Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 semesters, the Adventure To Fitness Network is available to all public schools in Florida giving students the opportunity to build active and healthy habits for life. Our downtown Orlando post production facility consists of three non-linear high definition video editing suites including both Avid and Final Cut Pro editing systems. All edit, audio, and graphics suites are connected to our Avid ISIS 5000 network. In addition to the three permanent edit suites, our Orlando post facility is set up to accommodate two additional HD edit systems if extra capacity is needed.

Both of our post production audio mixing studios at IDEAS are equipped with digital consoles and run on Pro-Tools. Audio A is an acoustically designed custom built critical listening room capable of doing sound design and surround sound mix to picture work. Both Audio A & B are fully equipped for voice over recording, voice over to picture, ADR, vocal recording, ISDN (sending & receiving, Dolby Fax & Zephyr, EDNet Affiliate) as well as audio editing. Both rooms are connected to our recording stage.

Our stage acts as a VO/ADR/Foley stage for post production audio work with video monitoring and ISDN capabilities. It is also used as an insert stage equipped with a cove/cyc for still photo shoots as well as smaller production shoots. The stage is 25’ x 30’ and has a small dressing room, restroom and has easy ramp access to our parking lot for load in/out.

Our motion graphics team executes a wide range of tasks including design, compositing, rotoscoping, visual effects, motion tracking, and shot stabilization for a variety of projects in the broadcast, corporate, healthcare and government industries. Our team uses any number of software solutions including After Effects, Maya, Cinema 4D, Shake, Flash, Photoshop, and Illustrator to get the results our clients need. Whether it’s 2D or 3D, Flash or Cell, our motion graphics team can turn your animations in to real media assets.

Web development is no longer merely designing and programming a website with a couple tabs. Social networking, complementing mobile apps, and sites with games and animations with current SEO (search engine optimization) are all part of the everyday requirements in addition to the traditional sales and marketing websites. The websites we develop are built with a variety of technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MYSQL, Flash, Actionscript, etc.), are easily updated by the clients through content management systems (WordPress, Joomla, custom) and are all mobile web friendly. Whether it’s plain text to the most complex web-based internet applications, our web design team is comfortable with any web solution or frame work (jQuery, Mootools, etc). Click on the thumbnails for more about each project.

Even though Mobile Applications and Games are a relatively young application, there’s a wide range of things that we have done. We have designed simple web-based games for clients as well as for our own marketing. In addition, we have done work in a variety of platforms and languages including Flash (Actionscript), Director (lingo), iPhone (Objective-C), BlackBerry (Java). We have also been involved in interfacing with various hardware pieces including phidgets, arduino, touchscreens and webcams. Our games have included trivia, physics-based, shooters, role-playing, puzzles, matching, and driving. And most recently we have started developing games and apps for mobile applications for both ourselves and clients. Click on the thumbnails for more about each project.

Our machine room consists of an Edirol HD format and frame rate converter, Sony HDCam, HDV, digital beta, D2, Beta SP, DVD, ¾”, 1” & VHS decks for video duplication. Larger duplication orders are a breeze with our multiple HD formats and dedicated duplication staff. In addition, a DVD replicator and auto load direct print labeling system is perfect for larger orders. If needed, our MAC and PC closed captioning systems do both standard and high definition. The Orlando post production facility at IDEAS was the first in Central Florida to do HD closed captioning and regularly does captioning jobs for network and cable airing. In addition, the IDEAS Orlando post production facility does file conversion and digitizing for clients needing to convert footage from tape to files for laptop editing.
