Imagineer Systems: mocha planar tracking videos

In this tutorial, I'll show you how to do a basic rotoscope, with the intention of placing some text into video behind the on-screen talent. This tutorial is a little bit longer, but I'll show you step-by-step what to do, why to do it, and how to avoid some common problems that most people will encounter. As a bonus, I'll briefly touch on using Optical Flares from Video CoPilot to enhance the scene just a little bit more.
To follow along, you'll need After Effects CS5 or later
You don't need Optical Flares to complete this tutorial
This is a beginner level tutorial for someone who is new to rotoscoping

    The steps are as follows:
-Send the footage to Imagineer System's Mocha Pro/Mocha AE for tracking
-Export the tracking data from Mocha to After Effects
-Create and link the roto mask to the tracking data
-Create a luma matte to composite the text behind the talent
-Adding in and tracking a light created with Video CoPilot's Optical Flares

    Tips covered in this bundle:
    10. Rather than track and roto with the same shape, it can be better to track a shape, then link a refined roto to the tracked layer.

    11. Pan (X) and Zoom (Z) are your friends when doing roto. You can get in close and move around without having to close the shape.

    12. If your layer is not moving when you paste transform data into After Effects, you may need to remove the Anchor Point keys.
