Sanan Rai - A vanishing Heritage in Timor-Leste is a short film about pottery-making in the newest half-island nation of Southeast Asia. The film is included inside a pottery-making exhibition (SEAC Nov-Dec 2014) and as a result from the collaborative research between the Secretary of State for Arts and Culture and the French IRD-PALOC. Directed by Victor de Sousa in closed collaboration with Jean-Christophe Galipaud and supervised and produced by filmmaker David Palazón, the film raises awareness on pottery-making practices and communities in Timor-Leste, in order to ensure a successful transition of this important heritage into a modern and more sustainable economy. The 60's archive footage is courtesy of Ian Glover, the last archaeologist to work in Timor-Leste prior to the Indonesian invasion. Music by
