Interactive Installations vs. Interactive Performing Arts – For more than 20 years I’ve worked with interactivity in both performing arts as well as in user installations. What are the similarities in these works and what differentiates the two settings, especially in view of the different requirements and goals? I will also present the research project ”(st)age of participation“, a collaboration with the Ars Electronica Futurelab, which explores situations in which the audience can interact with professional performers.
