Jane Goodall Institute

Kabi is a brave and curious little chimpanzee rescued from the illegal pet trade by the Jane Goodall Institute. At JGI's Tchimpounga Chimpanzee Rehabilitation Center in the Republic of Congo, Kabi is given all the love and care he needs to thrive. A JGI caregiver, named Cristel, acts as a surrogate mother to Kabi and spends 24 hours a day helping him to heal from the trauma of his past. At Tchimpounga, he gets to play with other rescued chimpanzees Vienna and George, and eventually, he may even have the chance to be transferred to one of the Tchimpounga sanctuary islands! You can the support the care of Kabi by becoming a Chimpanzee Guardian here: http://bit.ly/chimpguardian1
